On Projections:

Freud gave us a lot of things, but one of my favorites is the concept of projections: the process by which we attribute to others what is in our own minds. Seeing the self in the other is universal, it’s everywhere, it’s all around us—and I find it, and the reminder of it, no more prevalent than in old photos. In our launch collection, Diane Arbus prints alongside antique unattributed photographs are meant to ask you two questions: What do you see, and why?

*On all art framed with glass, we recommend air shipping for the safest delivery. Email freaksnewyork@gmail.com for a shipping estimate to your location, or we’ll get in touch after you check out to arrange getting your things to your home.
