I GREW UP INSIDE AN ANTIQUE.

It was a 1760 central chimney cape whose creaky floorboards made it impossible to sneak out of. I learned what a courting candle was when I was 8. The only reason I’d heard of Cider House Rules was because I was told that my grandfather had supplied the production with its medical antiques.

I’ve run editorial teams for Food52, written for publications like Architectural Digest, and podcasted my way into developing and producing audio for Grammy award-winning musical and comedy artists. I’ve demo-ed and designed two old houses, mostly with my own hands. But my return to old things—this shop—is as much about escaping lineage as it is about honoring the good parts of what came before us.

I source with an eye for the one-of-a-kind, for whimsy, for soul—for anything the least bit freaky, outside of the box, inventive and artistic. Most of what you’ll find in this shop has also lived many lives before it found itself here, but everything new is made by either women or queer makers (or both, like me).
